a bit of japan is a site we created from our lives here in Japan.
We share the stories behind the small and beautiful things we use every day, and the ideas and culture that quietly shape our way of living.
It began when friends from other countries grew curious about life in Japan and started asking questions.
We noticed that there weren’t many places explaining these things from the perspective of those who actually live here, so we decided to make one ourselves.
Beyond what is often shown in films or anime, we hope to show how Japan looks and feels today, through ordinary homes, streets, and moments.
